South Carolina Aquarium
Located on the historic Charleston Harbor,
the South Carolina Aquarium has been open since 2000
and features over 60 exhibits with over 10,000
plants and animals. The Aquarium also offers a

Folly Beach Fishing Pier
The Folly Beach Fishing Pier is 25 feet
wide, 23 feet above sea level and extends 1,045 feet
into the Atlantic Ocean. Here you may enjoy fishing,
walking and bird watching. The pier also has a
covered area, rod rentals, restrooms, beach access

Morris Island Lighthouse
The Morris Island is located off of Folly
Beach on an ecologically and historically sensitive
barrier island. One of Charleston's best known and
most beloved landmarks, it is recognized as one of
the top 100 cultural sites in the state of South
Carolina by the Heritage Trust Program Board.
Originally constructed 1,200 feet on shore, the
123-year-old lighthouse now stands on only 80 acres

Magnolia Plantation
This 17th century estate acquired in 1676
by the Drayton family features America’s oldest
gardens (circa 1680), which bloom year-round. The
property features a Pre-Revolutionary War plantation
house, Biblical gardens, an antebellum cabin, a
nature train and nature boat, wildlife observation

Audubon Center at
Francis Beidler Forest
This 15,000-acre sanctuary for plant and
animal life contains the largest remaining virgin
stand of bald cypress and tupelo trees in the world.
A boardwalk takes you past portions of majestic
swamp, where ancient trees, migrating birds and
